SVSHRM July Chapter Meeting

Inside a Fraudster's Mind: Unmasking Rationalization

Most workplace fraud is not committed by career criminals.

Instead, it is often carried out by trusted employees who convince themselves that their actions are justified.

Join Stacy Shiflet, CPA, CFE, Chief Financial Officer of Blauch Brothers, Inc., for a fascinating and interactive look into the psychology behind workplace fraud. Through real-world fraud investigations, audience participation, and practical examples, Stacy will reveal how rationalization, ethics, and opportunity combine to create the perfect environment for deception.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of fraud risk, ethical decision-making, and practical safeguards that can help protect organizations from financial and reputational harm.

As Stacy says...

"You can't make this up!"

  • Analyze real fraud cases and identify prevention strategies
